What I Watched - "Paranormal Activity"
I'm the first to admit that I am a raging scaredy cat when it comes to horror movies. I am scared easily but mostly because I allow myself to feel empathy for the film's characters. When watching Paranormal Activity I not only felt empathy towards these two wide-eyed "engaged to be engaged" love birds and the horrors they were facing but also began to wonder what weird shit is happening when I'm asleep. The movie expertly builds tension and paces itself so brilliantly that when the most minor event takes place, such as a door closing or a light turning on, that you nearly jump out of your skin. Scary, funny, very well-acted, Paranormal Activity is easily one of the best and scariest movies I have seen in years.
