What I Watched - "Adventureland"
An uncomfortably disjointed film that had no idea what it wanted to be. Adventureland takes place in the 1980s, although the characters dress like they're in the 70s and talk like they're in the 90s. The lead actor wants to be Michael Cera so badly he can taste it and Kristen Stewart is so unlikeable that she made me feel like I had just eaten bad fish. Some funny physical comedy and hyperbolic performances from Kristen Wiig and Bill Hader did not compensate for the dour storyline and misuse of Ryan Reynolds who was fully clothed the ENTIRE TIME. Sadly a miss on the part of the filmmaker but a few moments make me think that he has potential Better luck next time, champ.
