Buffy's evil Mayor Wilkins had a portion of his commencement speech dedicated to "civic pride" but he turned into a giant snake before he could get to it. These hotties already feel pride in their city, state, country, school, etc, based on their t-shirts. They don't need some stupid, evil, snakey, blown-up mayor telling them how to feel.
